Planning services have managed to maintain near normal service provision across the service with all staff able to work remotely to process electronic transactions.  There has been a decline in the volume of work coming for some sections such as Land Charges, as house sales have been temporarily halted during this period.  Planning applications are submitted electronically and are still being received, although numbers are now starting to reduce. Building Control applications are following a similar pattern. Planning and Building Control Officers are continuing to deliver the statutory functions of the service whilst adhering to government guidelines for social distancing.
