Number of Visitors to Visitor Attractions - Acton Scott working farm, Ludlow Museum Resource Centre, Much Wenlock Museum, Shrewsbury Museum, Shrewsbury Castle and Shropshire Archives
Annual visitor figures have declined to 176,710 Q1 19/20 compared to 191,571 at Q1 2019/20.
There has been a decrease in the number of visitors to visitor attractions in Shropshire, which include Acton Scott, Ludlow Resource Centre and Much Wenlock museum. The decrease is mainly due to decreased visitors to Shrewsbury Museum. This increase can be attributed to several factors Improved counting to make the recording visitor numbers more accurate, increased footfall to the information centre by people looking for things to do and there has also been an increased footfall for the purchase of tickets for festivals/events in the county. The introduction of a people counter at the Ludlow Museum and Resource Centre has also revealed a higher number of visitors.
