Number of Visitors to Visitor Attractions - Acton Scott working farm, Ludlow Museum Resource Centre, Much Wenlock Museum, Shrewsbury Museum, Shrewsbury Castle and Shropshire Archives
Annual visitor figures have increased to 189,502 for Q3 2018/19 compared to 172,330 at Q3 2017/18
There has been an increase in the number of visitors to visitor attractions in Shropshire, which include Acton Scott, Ludlow Resource Centre and Much Wenlock museum. The increase is mainly due to increased visitors to Shrewsbury Museum. This increase can be attributed to several factors Improved counting to make the recording visitor numbers more accurate, increased footfall to the information centre by people looking for things to do and there has also been an increased footfall for the purchase of tickets for festivals/events in the county. The introduction of a people counter at the Ludlow Museum and Resource Centre has also revealed a higher number of visitors.
